One Powerful Voice!

Military Officers Association of America and Superstition Mountain Chapter

Dear Prospective MOAA Member,

MOAA has been named a top lobbyist by The Hill, the most widely circulated newspaper on Capitol Hill. This is an organization that is looking out for you, all veterans! MOAA has obtained for us many of the benefits that we currently enjoy, and is working on many more. The following will give more details.

Have you ever thought of joining the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA)? This is an introduction and an invitation to attend.

MOAA has been in existence for over 90 years, and is the largest and most influential of uniformed officers’ organizations (includes W/Os and former officers). The legislative arm has been on the forefront of military benefits improvements such as, health care, pay increases, retirement enhancements, etc. None would have happened without the strength of MOAA’s membership.

The Superstition Mountain Chapter is active throughout the year, with monthly luncheon meetings.  Meeting activities and include a salute to our troops in November and our Military Ball in December, high profile speakers and other great events. You are invited to attend and check us out.

The Superstition Mountain Chapter of MOAA, is active throughout the east valley. You are encouraged to join our chapter and the National MOAA organization.  The dues are nominal and the benefits may be one of the most important to result from your uniformed service.  National MOAA dues vary.  There are three levels of membership in MOAA.  Yearly membership and Lifetime membership are available.  Go to MOAA.org for more information on national dues, life memberships and a free Basic membership.  Chapter dues of $25.00 per year paid to December 31.  The award winning Military Officer Association of America monthly magazine and chapter newsletters are included in the dues. The magazine will update you on all MOAA benefits to members, as well as keep you informed on military and legislative news. We believe that it alone is worth several times the minimal cost of dues. It is a great organization!

Sincerely,

MAJ Norm Poole, USA  (Ret’d.) – Membership Chairman

COL Robert Grierson, USA(Ret’d.) – Chapter President

As a member of the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA), and of the Superstition Mountain Chapter you will participate in one of the nation’s most influential uniformed officers networks. Officers, Warrant officers, former active, retired, National Guard and Reserve are invited.

Superstition Mountain Chapter Members are facilitators to successfully influence local government, and inform them on needed legislation. Through our Chapter activities, we also have many social functions, member support programs and community support programs.

Our members as well, are highly influential in Washington D.C., through the MOAA legislative function. They have been highly successful, through the support of our Chapter members in informing Congress on needed legislation and in obtaining that legislation, including Survivor Benefits (SPB), military health care, including the TRICARE programs, pay increases, the repeal of dual compensation laws, and increases in military manpower authorization, among many other successes.

If you want to have a greater impact on your community and the lives of those in uniform yesterday, today and tomorrow you need to join our chapter.
